My mom got an adult female jackson chameleon. it was pregnent and had 10 babies. All but one have died, though the mother seems fine. They seemed to be doing well until about 2 weeks ago when they started moving less, keeping their eyes closed most the time and possibly eating less (I am gone most the day and can really only tell they have been leaving less droppings.). We have been feeding them wingless flies and pin head crickets, we had them in two ten gallon tanks with a paper towel on the bottom, fake leaves and fake twigs (i do not know what they are made out of but i believe they are from pet smart.). we recently got them a fogger at a reptile show, we started just turning that on instead of misting them and they seemed to love it. we did this two or three times a day. we had them under a Repti-Glo 5.0 15W UV light. we live in Utah and it gets very cold at night the temperature next to the tank is 76 degrees fahrenheit and we have the thermostat set to auto heat. They were and the one still alive continues to be a light pastel green most the time though occasionally a darker brown. We have started using a water dropper to hydrate the last one as well as trying to feed him a pinkish protein mash by hand. We try not to stress him out while doing this (I don't know where my mom got it but i assume pet smart.). We are trying really hard to save this last one, my mom seems to know what she is doing but is poor at using the internet so I thought I would post around and see if anyone knows something we don't about whats going on, we could really use the help. I have provided all the details I could think of but if your would like to know something else please ask. we are keeping that last one under the above conditions though we have added some live plants to the tank.
Please help.
