Thanks!!! I just love them!

There were 14 in this clutch. I have 7 more clutches incubating and this was the largest clutch for me so far. The rest all laid around 11 eggs or so.

So prehistoric, so beautiful!! I can't believe this species isn't more popular.
How do the females recover after egg laying? Do you still have all or most of the imported animals?

Thanks, Bob! They look like little dinosaurs to me. I'm crazy about them.

All of the females did fantastic except one. But you could tell she was an old animal. She lived maybe three weeks after she laid the clutch. I did a necropsy and couldn't find anything remarkable. So, I guess age coupled with the stress of import/being gravid helped her call it quits.

You make me want one of these too. I love the red throats. My family told me I need to move into the lizard room and move the lizards into the rest of the house so I'd have more room for lizards. I seriously considered it for a second
