Awkward sleep schedule

My juvenile veiled chameleon usually falls asleep around 7 pm everyday. But in the morning, my dad delivers newspapers and checks on him before he leaves and says he's awake. So that is like at 3:30 am. I'm not too worried, but should I try to change this schedule somehow, or let it go?

Just curious
And I do have a 24/7 timer for his lights too.

what do you mean? you have his lights lights on 24/7? There should not be any lights on at night. Lights can disrupt their sleep schedule and that is why you might be finding him awake in the middle of the night

My cham has an unusual sleep schedule as well, he sits in his sleeping spot around 630pm every night, the light turns off around 7-730 on the timer. I'm up way after he goes to sleep so I make sure the cage is covered and it is dark, like Carol said they need complete darkness as they can sense the light without having their eyes open.

at night I just have a red heat lamp on just to keep warmth. Usually where he sleeps, behind the leaves, the light doesn't get back there.
