Awake at 330 in the morn?

Just fed the baby and checked on my baby veiled , about 3 months old and he was awake? I don't know if he's just adjusting still I've only had him since this past Tuesday. Any ideas why hes up almost 2 hrs before his lights go on?

Is the room dark or did you switch a light on? Any light will wake him. You sure are lucky to have 2 babies in the house

they don't hear so that would not be the issue. It would be more something with lighting in the room I would assume. If there was something rattling or vibrating the cage I could see, but not a noise in general.

The room was dark, the air conditioning does kick on and I thought about that since he is still new to this environment, my panther was comfy fast asleep but not the little one.

If there is a ceiling light on or you switched one on quickly I wouldn't be worried at all, some chameleons including my panther are light sleepers. My cham can be fast asleep but as soon as I switch my ceiling light on in the room to get something he wakes up. Some chams including a few on here are heavy sleepers, you could get your hands up close with a flash and they will stay asleep. I guess chams are just like people, some are heavy sleepers and some are light sleepers.

He might just have felt the vibrations from you walking around or the air condition working. If he doesn't know this he'll wake up, five days aren't a really long time to acclimate.

my veiled is very sensitive to any light at night- wakes up straight away. I cover his cage with a blanket to minimise disturbing him, seems to do the trick! He's in my living room & doesn't respond to the TV noise/light and things like that- it's just suddenly having the lights switched on that wakes him if he's not covered.

My veiled is such a heavy sleeper. We were once fixing his mist nozzle in his cage at night and he was still sleeping! My baby girl panther is a light sleeper. She wakes up as soon as we turn on the light to get something from that room.

Some chams are just light sleepers and others sleep very deeply.
