Hello all, i just posted my first topic needing help with a mister problem i had but i solved it, im sort of having problems with the timer now ! We'll i've programmed it over and over about 3 times, The problem i have is viewing what i set, when i click prog it shows me all my off times, which are correct. Now if i act like im going to program that event i make it show me the ON times they dont change to the ON times i show? Shows the same thing as the off time, but thats not what i set, I set one for 8:00 so thats about 27 minutes, hopefully it'll go on and off when i set it and not on and off at the same extact time. Am i doing this correct?

Thank you very much.

Timers are not my strong suit but you may want to list your timer brand so maybe somebody else can help you out :)

The Timer itself is the Intermatic Digital Timer,

The OFF and ON times, When i check the OFF times there perfect, when i view the ON there showing me the same times as the OFF no matter how many times i change it, both times display the same for OFF and ON so i said ah.. let me just wait until 8:00 and see what happens.. 8:00 came nothing happened. So at 8:01 i click on(as if i was using the timer manual instead of auto) and boom the mister went off. I'm confused as why its not going off on auto, and why are the times not showing me two different OFF and ON times even when i change them.

Well another 28minutes and its suppose to do its last mist as i have it set up 5 times a day for 3minutes each. If it doesn't go off at 10:00 something is defiantly wrong. I doubt it will go off as of the info i stated in the previous post. Any tips?

Yes so im seriously having problems with this timer, It actually went off at 10:00 but didnt go off at 10:03 i even waited to 10:06 than had to manual turn it off even though its on AUTO? Whenever i set one time, lets say its the on. If i set the off 10:00 and than check the OFF It'll will say 10:00. Like what is going on here??

there is almost certainly a model# on your timer,, intermatic has a website where they display most of their indoor+outdoor consumer model digital timers, and a link to all of their instruction manuals, digtal stuff can be tricky, most often the single push of a wrong button will screw everything up. the best way to deal with it, is to identify the timer by model# and go to the instruction manual , in all likely hood you are within one keystroke or extra button push of getting it to work right. http://www.intermatic.com/products/timers/consumer indoor timers/digital timers.aspx

I've been using the online manual because when i opened the plastic case i ripped the small manual. It's the Model #DT620CH, Wondering if anyone else has this timer, I've like read the 4 pages of this manual over and over for a few hours now. Keep messing with it with no luck, The main problem seems to be the OFF and ON times stay the same, no matter if i put the off to a certain time it will show me it is the same time as on, or vis virsa :confused::confused:

A small update on this whole situation, I noticed yesterday at 10:00pm the last mist for the day I programmed it for it went off. 10:03 the time I had it off it didn't go off. Suprisnly enough it actually went off at the time I set it for today which was 11:00am and off for 11:03 BUT guess what 11:03 came.. 11:04.. and its not going off. The weird thing is when I check the times it usually shows me the OFF times which it will show me 11:03 for example and when I view ON it will still say 11:03 yet it came on 11:00 like I set it(even though it didn't show 11:00) but its not even going off at 11:03 and its showing me OFF= 11:03 ??? I just don't understand what I'm doing wrong. I kind of need this fixed asap or else I'll have to plug the timer out because if its not going to stop than that means it'll keep running until I get around and that we cannot have the pump running for hours straight?? That would be a mess.

Where do you live?

I am reading the manual online and it seems pretty clear...... but you might want to start from scratch. Because this timer has so many options, you might have started some sort of function that you didn't mean to and it is effecting the times.

I live in Ny, I'm going to reset it and write down my steps cause I really don't see what's going wrong here :/ Following the manual: Step one Hold Off and On and pres the little reset button for 3 seconds. You have to make sure its in Clock mode now, it shows that on top so yes its in clock mode. Than you have to set the time and press ok. Set it to 1:32PM. Than you have to set the Year 09. Than the Month 09 Than the Date 14. Than comes to the Adjusting day light saving time(step 9 if anyone knows the manual) If set auto the clock will automatically adjust to daylight savings for you. so I select auto of course. Than its the setting the start and end dates for DST I think I set that wrong before. Now I know start is March 8th and end is november 1st(as I had to look online) For on it default shows 03wk02 That should be correct. Now for DST off should be 11wk01 I'm guessing. 11 month. 1st week. Ok DST done. Step 12 setting Location. You first choose your state I put NY than its asking where in ny as N,S,E,W,NE.. etc all different directions. Am I really suppose to know this?? I put North. Than on to time zones I put EAST. for est.. I'm guessing right? Than it shows me my dawn and dusk times, I click ok as if there correct. (step 16) "The timer will now jump to manual" and it did so. Now on to the main parts ! "Set inital Pair of ON and OFF events" YES the main part where it goes wrong ! Says to ensure the timer is in a normal operating mode by pressing MODE until manual auto and random appears ok did that. Now states press PROG to view the first event screen. Ok now its saying if all has been cleared the timer will display SKIP above the event thing. Press ok to go to normal operating mode. Press Prog again the skip display should flash turn the knob until it displays the event you want. ok obviously event 01. ON only- for turning on at a present time. Yes that's what I want. Press Prog the days of the week will flash I have it for everyday.Press Prog to accept. The first two digits of the time flash as stated Now you pick the time you want. I'm picking 11:00AM It moves on to the next event screen as stated. So I'm going to continue programming the 5 events I want. Event 2 1:00PM(all this is ON times) Event 3: 4:00PM Event 4: 8:00PM
than event 5 10:00PM. Now for off the instructions are the same as on just it must be displaying OFF at the top instead of ON. so lets do the same thing and plug in the times I want. That's done. hit ok after all 5 was done to go back to normal mode. Now you must select Auto random or manual operation mode Of course I'm going to select auto. (you do it by clicking mode than auto). Now it says plug in the timer. I'm not even going to try to view the off and on times. I'm going to plug it in and wait until 4 and see if it goes ON at 4:00 like I stated and OFF at the time I put(which I didn't state but its 4:03) this is pratically the same stuff I did about 10 times and yet so far twice it went on on the right time but didn't go off even though I stated here I programmed it for off times also???

Lol this timer is driving me nuts, I restarted it earlier and posted the steps, now some how it seems to NOT start 8:00 was one of the times( it didnt come on so i manual pressed it on. BUT it went off at 8:03 lmao ! What is going on here!?!?

As far as setting the time its either
On only- For turning on at a present time
On and Dusk-For turning on at sunet
On and DAwn-For turning on at sunrise

And off is the same thing but instead of the word "on" its simply off.

I put on only because i dont want it on at suset or sunrise i wanted my own times? It seems as the way it sounds is what it does
"on only" weird.

Maybe i have it on "OFF ONLY" now!?

As far as options, when you click PROG at the top ON will flash you can change it to show OFF. So when ON flashes i put 8:00pm and than hit prog. Go back do the same thing but now with OFF flashing so i can set a different time. Yet only one time will work, before it was going on but not going off, now somehow its going off perfect but wont turn on !:confused::confused:

I wish this wasnt so hard for me i really want this thing to be working auto ON and OFF :(

Oh my i think i may understand how this difficult thing works !

I played with it and think i got it !

What i think it is you have to have example 1 event ON at 8:00am THAN do a different event for OFF example 8:03am even though the instructions dont even tell you this !

When you do an event it shows you OFF and ON times but no wheres says you have to have 2 different events for basically one setting you want.

I'll post back tonight and tell you if its working.

Thank you so much for even trying to help me ! I really appreciate it.

ATLAST I can breathe literally hours after hours of messing with this thing I got it to work ! Yes you have to do two different events for basically 1 setting you want. one event on one event off. When your programming this it makes it seem as if you can do off and on in the same event.

Thank you a lot for the help.

lol i was just reading the manual and thought 'I should see if he figured it out before I dig into the manual some more...'

glad to hear you figured it out.

No prob... I went in circles once or twice with mine the first time. Intermatic makes good stuff. At my work they wanted some light timers for the big outside lights.... I instructed the guy who was given the project to look into Intermatic.... Found exactly what we needed. It even does the self adjust for dusk and dawn... so we don't have to reset the timer as the days get shorter.
