Attaching mistking

Is there an attachment piece that comes with the nozzle for a tight fit to the screen top?

Also do most folks put it in the back corners angled towards the middle?

There are some screen brackets available, but I do believe you have to order these separately. As for how you angle the nozzles, depends on what you need. I have mine facing a bit down and towards the back, but this is because I have an acrylic door and rear panel. I don't want the door to be full of moisture causing me to have to wipe it down constantly, and I am not worried about the wall behind the enclosure due to the panel in the back.

Thanks, but do you have to have the screen brackets or does it seal between the screen with out it. Just curious as I am contemplating a new mist system and before I decide on which one I wanted to check.

I just want to make sure the kit for $99.00 does not need to have anything added in order to mount the mister nozzle.

Anyone else use a mistking :D
Specifically did you have to order the mounting bracket for mounting or will it mount easily to the screen top?

Bueller....Bueller.....

If you are talking about having a hole in the screen and just mounting it without support, you could do this, but I'm not sure if the power of the misting would cause the assembly to shake around. I think you would be O.K., but you only get one shot at this, so know where you will put the nozzles!

The bracket is only 5 bucks so maybe worth it to get it just in case but I was curious. What do you mean you only get one shot at it? Are you referring to cutting a hole?

You will need to order a "screen top wedge" with your mist king system. It's $5.99 from mistking.com. It's on page two of misting accessories. It makes the nozzle very sturdy. If you just install the nozzle in the screen it's going to shake the whole enclosure. Trust me even tho I did order the screen top wedge I did try without it. It was like a earthquake for my little guy shook a 2x2x4ft cage. Just installed my mist king system last week and I absolutely love it. ImageUploadedByTapatalk1358272550.404944.jpg

Yep! If you are not sure where you want your nozzle. You can adjust them a bit once they are in, but you don't want a bunch of holes in your screen!

Hey, one of your feeders was inspecting your work! He said you left a screw on the top of the enclosure :p.

I did not want to use the bracket as i felt it would block out some light (and i forgot to order them :)) so i just cut some circles out of hard plastic drilled the holes and put 1 piece inside and 1 outside so it works fine and did not cost me a cent.

I use the corner wedges. They not only help keep the nozzles secure and reduce vibrations but they also help stiffen up most screen cages.

Maybe a stupid question but When you guys drilled into the cage frame did you leave your Cham in there? Just curious if it would stress them out too much drilling the cage etc....my guy is fairly new and I just moved him into his bigger cage this week. S he has had some change and he apparently does not like change very much :( He is pretty stressed out so I did not want to add anymore stress to him. Getting him out right now is a no as well, I have had my hands in there too much as it is tightening up loose ends since he moved in etc...

My screws were on the outside and they were pretty much like a self tapping screw going in. Very smooth. I left my little guy in the cage. He is just under 6 months. I've had him since he was a month old. He should be fine. It's nice easy and quick. Probably stress him out a lot more handling him.

I Use a mist king and I have it set up in 2 cages. One uses the bracket and one does not. I prefer it without the bracket personally, just make sure you cut the hole smaller than the piece so when you slide it in it is a tight fit. Tighten the bolt tight so it squeezes the screen a bit on all sides for a tighter hold.
