Asisting my chameleon on shedding

Hi there-
I just wanted to share this to know if I'm doing anything wrong with my chameleon SunnyD. I noticed that he was having trouble shedding so I decided to give him a hand. I had read that its ok to rub them with a wet q-tip so I did. He didn't seem to mind and was a very bright green while I cleaned around his eyes he also sat nice and still while I cleaned him. My question is has anyone else ever done this? Is their other ways to help him? Any tricks or tips?

Dont ever peel it off.

A wet q tip is ok, but its best to let them do it on their own

Up humidity and mistings and that will help get shed off.

Alsom, showers are great for shedding chams.

Thank you Camimom,
I have up the humidity and misting since I first notice he was shedding. I've been thinking of giving him a shower but I'm very nervus about it since he is not the besst climber. He has lost a few claws when I got him and have been helping him regrow them. So at the moment I'm not sure how to go about a shower for him with out him falling on the hard tub.

I use a Round-Up pump sprayer from Lowes filled with very warm water and give my cham a good shower right in his free range. If your cage has good drainage, it shouldn't be a problem and you won't have to worry about his grip in the shower. He loves it and will sit under the spray for 30 minutes. Good for eye cleaning too!
