Thought I'd post some new pics of my Leachianus Gecko, Armani. This boy weighs over 280g and the bigger he gets the more I love him!

Tiff, you know how I feel about him but he is soooo gorgeous! I love all his lovely squishy wrinkles! I'm so envious! He's just about as handsome as they get! His eyes are mesmerising!

He's got very big feet and nails like talons for gripping branches (and skin, lol)! He's a Leachianus Gecko (New Caledonian giant gecko) and he's one of the smaller 'offshore' locals.

Wow! And he likes to be handled? The only experience I have had with geckos (aside from leopard geckos) was with a common house gecko, who was petrified of everything, and even escaped once and it took me 2 months to finally catch him! They are lightning fast! So I would be afraid of loosing a bigger one forever!

He's viv defensive now he's adult. If I can pluck him out quick when he's on the doors then he's fine, but anywhere else in his cage and he launches at me. If I need to take him out during the day to clean then he's fine. He can move quite fast but he's a big lump and not very elegant, lol! He kind of runs like a crocodile! Love him so much!
