Are these mites???

I am sorry I do not have a camera so i have to explain to the best of my ability. I was out today sunning with my cham and while inspecting him i saw 4 very small black dots on his front right leg, between the joint and foot. These black dots are in a straight line and there looks to be some slight discoloration in a straight line connecting the 4 black dots. The dots are small enough to be within a scale. They also look like part of them is above the scale and the other part is almost buried in the scale.
Should I just buy mite spray or is it possible to pick them off with tweezers??

Cage is 24''24''48''. 100W heat 12inches away. full spectrum halogen. uva/uvb 10.0 12 inches away and through a screen. Misting 4-5 times a day for 30 secs. 1hr of natural sunlight a week.

Thanks!!

I have seen this on my Veiled, Norman. It ended up being where he was rubbing on his perch. Liken it to a bruise.

Mites, if anything like what my mammal pets get, you cannot see them that easily. Dont pick them off with tweezers, whatever they are. it can take good skin with it.

It is hard to figure it out without seeing it. You did a good job explaining it, but pictures are the best.
Mites move around. SO if they are mites, those 4 black dots should move as well.

Soak him in water and if they are mites they will come off. Or look out for movement. Mites wouldn't be in a straight line I'd have thought.

I think my pygmy has these, although they seem silver? I wash them off but when I go to check, he has them on him again. could they be in the setup? Not sure how he got these as the setup was completely built just for them (the babies) and everything was properly treated beforehand. Could they have been born with them since their parents are WC?
