Arboreal Lagoon

no i wouldnt use it.
first it has suction cups which means it is for glass cages.
You cant keep chameleons in glass.
Chameleons drink from water dripping from leaves. usually not from standing water.
standing water helps aid in the growth of bacteria.
soooo no.lol

I was thinking of taking the suction cups out and putting velcro with sticky backs

I've read about some that place waters in the enclosure with airstones.. but i guess that's just to up the humidity?

Thanks for the quick reply.. I think i'll take your advice.

I've never tried one and I agree with JustinIgor that they don't really seem suited for chameleons, but i could see how you could rig that thing up a certain way and possibly make a great spot for him to drink. You'd probably want to make it easy to remove though so you could sterilize it frequently...

If you decide to give it a shot I'd be curious to know how it works for you, and if the cham uses it.

Ive seen this product work ok, what they did was poke a tiny, tiny hole in the lagoon, and have the dripper drip into it filling the lagoon thing and then dripping out of it as well in time, the dripping water doesn't stand for long and isn't really standing with the dripping in and out of the lagoon, but every other day or so i would def wipe it out with approved jurasic wipes or some sort of reptile enclosure cleaner that is nontoxic of coarse...

Oh.. sounds interesting..

I had my old veiled trained to drink from a specific spot.

I would spray enough to develop some larger drops on the top of the enclosure and he would come up and dring from them.

Ever since I had him in that enclusre, I never saw him drink off of leaves, but frequently saw him take trips up to "his drinking spot".

Concerning the arborial lagoon, I think chams would probably use it as a perch and poop in the water as mine tend to like to get to one of the highers corners and hang out.

I agree with everyone above. But in the end the desision on whether or not to get one to try is up to you. If you do get one, stop by and tell us how it works! :)
