Hi,I was wondering if any of you feeding his baby chams with aphids. They have the right size, attractive green colour and don't fly that much. But is it safe for a chameleon to eat them?

Thanks for the reply.I thing i'm going ti try them too since a have many of them in my garden:)

be very careful with aphids, there are some that are toxic, i would not feed them out from the garden, however they are easy to culture if you wish to do so.

Just be mindful of what plants you collect from. If they've bee sucking on the wrong plants the aphids could be toxic. I've used aphids for young chameleons over the years without issue. However the chameleons actually prefer fruit flies, small silkworms and other feeders to the aphids though.

I like mustard aphids. They are abundant where I live and they come from a pesticide free area. Easy to breed too.
