To me, that just looks like the other half of his oven mitt. Both hind feet are trying to grasp that small branch in the same spot.

Thanks guys...there is a bit shed skin around his foot. That maybe what you are seeing. I wasn't real happy with the quality of that pic. so I am going to get some more here soon. But thanks for the compliments...I though he look totally different than normal ambanjas so I wanted to share.
