Anyone Using Apogee's Reptarium Enclosures?

I'm planning on getting her a bigger cage ASAP but I am unsure what kind (hence the question about maintaining humidity/temperature)... but of course I will take care of the egg situation first :) thanks for the concern

What is the air temp and humidity you keep in your house?

Good luck!

Air temp is typically 70-72 and humidity... no idea

If you keep the temp around the low to mid 70s you'll be fine having a screen cage. You will have to work on the humidity. Figure out how much you have in the room and then if its low look into buying a humidifier.

Thanks for all of the feedback. Looks like a great community on this forum!

I ended up buying a Reptarium for the baby months and a 2 X 2 X 4 from LLL based on the majority of recommendations.

Good choice!

cool. reptariums are great for young guys because you can just ball up the mesh and bundle up the tubes and hite it away easily.

I just checked the temp/humidity in my room not near her lights or anything (to determine a base range)...
temp: approx 71 degrees F
humidity: approx 41%

Am I right in assuming that with her lights and water source, a mesh enclosure would be alright in the current setting?

I currently have my vieled in one of those Flexariums (or whatever you call them). It seems to work fine for now. But as my cham gets closer to adulthood I will deffinatly be purchasing an aluminun screen cage from somewhere. (whoever ships to canada the cheapest :D)

ta da!

i have about 5 reptariums..some have good ol duct tape on them due to rips and insects.. The thing I dislike is they have no sturdy tops. I actually use a 40gallon screen top over mine to steady it for the lighting..anytime I unzip it, everything seems to go sliding into the middle and weight it down. Its a pain to rearrange as you pretty much have to dismantle and take it completely out. My zippers are on the sides, maybe if they were on the top it might be easier..also, my vines wrap around the pipes and they tend to slide. The heat lamp does sit on the screen top and has melted some fake plants to it.:( You also pretty much have to buy the plastic fit bottom or you get seepage throught he bottom of the cage. I also put a black garbage bag ont he back side to keep the wall dry when I spray mist..and with me having the screen ont he top for support, if I want to open the side completely I have to take all the lights and screen down to unzip..UGH!!:p But other than that....:)

The garbage bag is an excellent idea!! THANKS :)
This is my first flexi, so i dont know much, but the zippers seems to be fine, i can zip down the whole front. Jungle vines are wrapped too, but doesn't like to be slind or so..maybe because my cham is only 7 inch long, so not so heavy atm.
At the top o put 4 wood stave to hold the heat lamp and the UV lamp too. It works so far.
Well..lets see how my cham gona like it:)

Cheers!

Is your light sitting on the mesh? I thought you said you used wood and I see something square but Im not sure what it is at the underside looks to have light on it.. It will melt the mesh and anything close to it, and it was also change the color of your screening as well. I bought one of mine used and there are 3 very noticeable orange circles on one side.:) I have one cage that really tight and one thats super loose on top fromt he weight the previous owner put on it..and we super glued the pvc piping together on one to make it easier to take out of the mesh..everytime we tried to remove it, it just came in pieces! Ben(ita) was hanging upside down last night when I put her back in her cage so it comes in handy too..Again, just be careful with any free roaming insects as they are able to chew through it if they wanted. Look nice though! :) 7 inches..ha, thats bigger than my girl.. shes like MAYBE 5....

the wood things are thin, and i putted them on the top of the mesh, and the heat lamp is on the woods, so the lamp only contacts with the wood...but ill see at home what happened.
I cup feed my cham, or it shoots from my hand, and i newer let feeders roam if i'm not near there! :)
Ty for advices!
