Oh yes she also got him a new swinging latter that he love to sit on and climb all over, or swimg and bite people. What ever works best at the time lol. I hope that she and mango have become friends again and it will stay this way.


It would not be those way if it weren't for the great advice you guys gave her and me, so for that me and mango ( the bird ) would like to thank those who took the time to give great info to fix what was wrong. So thank you guys

Very happy to hear you ordered the book and have got some new toys and perches.
As far as biting goes...I know it hurts...but you have to not react. They sometimes like the reaction. You don't want it to learn that it can get what it wants by biting. However...that book you bought will describe body language that TELLS you when a bite may be coming.

As far as showers go....This is a waiting game. When he is in the cage....and you spot him taking a bath in his water bowl....spray with a light misting spray bottle from like cvs or rite aid or something. Don't overdo it but soon he will learn that it is the SAME as bathing in the water bowl and not harmful. This is called capturing a behavior.

This is how I got my rescue amazon to take spray bottle showers....and he was Pu is he'd with spray bottles before me so now he loves them. You can work your way up to saying "shower" and soon work your way up to putting him on a shower perch and in the shower.

You're doing good by going slow! He will come around.
