anyone have the monsoon?

I have four monsoons at the moment and have been happy with them. I did replace all of the nozzles with "finer mist" ones at the cost of about $20. I have each one running four cages. I chose these based the fact that I keep several different types of chams and wanted different misting options. Maybe I am the lucky one but so far no problems.

wow really lucky!! I have heard they are better now.. most issues are with older models.

I have the Mistking starter kit. It was a piece of cake to put together.

Directions are on line and if you have any questions call them! They are very helpful. plug motor into its electrical source. take tube shove into water bucket system plug until you feel a sort of bite. Screw plate on top corner of cage , scissor cut a hole in the screen where the hole in the plate is. screw in valve Push tube in valve until you feel the bite-

for two cages you would cut the hose put a plastic T in it, now the hose can go to two cages and repeat the process with the plate.

Bucket- drill hole an inch or 2 from bottom so sediment does not come up the tubes. push valve through hole- push tube until you feel the bite. Fill bucket, plug in and mist away!

There are pictures in the directions on line- and help if needed is only a phone call away :)

I did this from memory, installed 3 months ago and absolutely love it especially when it is only a couple dollars more. Drilling the hole in the bucket i did not have the right bit. So when I purchased the paint bucket at a small harware store I asked them if they could pleaseee drill a hole here and they did right size and all

I've had my monsoon for quite awhile now and am happy with it. i've had no problems with rough mist and although the timer isnt 100% accurate, its damn near close enough. i can't argue with the fact that mist king is the superior product here, but i do believe the monsoon looks alot nicer :) i am also quite fond of the remote control

i just got it in the mail i love it and if your short on cash i recommend e-bay and if u think it just sprays go to your hard wood store buy a new bit very easy fix

My LRS sells them both, but he knows me well, and recommends the Monsoon for me. I'm not likely to want to add cages (maybe just maybe a free range playground with its own nozzles though) and the Mist King is overkill for what I need. His store front vivarium display is Monsoon, and his backroom uses the Mist King.

I don't know if I really care if its very fine mist or coarser 'spray'. If its on a timer, she'll figure out when to shut her eyes

Anyway, I'm saving aside for a Monsoon. Maybe after the holidays.

Thanks for all the responses everyone! I am STILL undecided. Getting by with hand misting and the habbamist. Sigh. Better cage first then the mister.

I just got a hooked up my Monsoon unit and really like it. My cham seems to like it too. Happy with Amazon purchase. :)

I waited... and waited... and waited. The monsoon went on sale with pangeareptile.com. I love it so far, no problems. I love how big the reservoir is too. It's fancy for my one cage and satisfies me enough. I'm a pretty simple gal!!

I have a Monsoon and love it. For those concerned about more of a jet than mist...I was able to adjust my nozzles so it is not as strong.
