Anyone ever use the national geographic uvb light?

This was on sale for $5 at my local petsmart. I can't find any reviews on this, will this suffice for my UVB light? I am using an exo terra 75w basking light.

If in doubt, don't. There's probably a reason its only $5 and at a PetSmart. I don't know anyone who suggests this bulb, and most of us prefer the linear tube type UVB bulbs anyway. Coil style bulbs don't light as much of the cage...they create one bright area and the rest of the habitat doesn't get exposure...so your cham won't either unless it happens to be in that one bright spot.

Thanks for the response! Just to be safe, I am going to return it and probably get the Reptisun. Thanks!

reptisun is my personal recommendation. I would not recommend depending on a $5 light from petsmart for a fragile lizard. good luck! :)

I've used those for a while now no problems with them but just like they said it only does a spot of light so I use it on small cages but they usually go for more than 5$ lol
