Anyone ever tried a bubbler for sitting water?

I remember far before I purchased my Jackson's watching a video of a Jackson's drinking out of sitting water that simply had one of those aquarium bubblers with tube going into it so the water was always moving.

Because Max is middle-aged I doubt it'd take with him (much like cup feeding was never really his "thing") -- but has anyone ever tried it?

Obviously a perfect place to defecate... :)

Nope. Never tried one. Figured it was challenging enough to keep the environment a healthy .place

It is only natural for a chameleon to drink from water that is on plant leaves. A chameleon drinking from a bowl, in my mind, is a desperate animal. Sure, they might figure it out, but why force them to resort to this? I'd do a dripper before i'd spend anytime figuring out how to get a cham to drink from a bowl. I just don't think it's worth it or anywhere near natural for them.

Using an aquarium bubbler for drinking is a technique from the good ole 80s when we were trying to figure out how to keep Jackson's alive for more than six months. (That did not help, by the way.)
Yes, some chameleons will learn to do it, though it may take some training or, as Kevin points out, desperation. And you are absolutely correct that it is a perfect place to plant a poop to be bubbled into the air and splashed onto surroundings.
Luckily, the chameleon world progressed in our hydration techniques. I'd suggest not going backwards on this one.
