Ok so this is just a quick update on my 1 year old ambilobe panther i got him to the vet last night they gave me oral medicine and medicine for his eye but he isn't eating at all is this normal could the medicine possible be making him not have an appetite? Is there anything i can do to get him to eat cause the vet i go to still needs a fecal sample and since hes not eating i have no idea how im supposed to get this for the vet

If he is warranting of it. You may try a warm shower. https://www.chameleonforums.com/blogs/ataraxia/594-shower-chamber-treatment.html

This will sometimes work a nice duece out.

Natural sunshine will sometimes produce a feces but i see your from new york.:(

Can you post a picture of the chameleon?

Yes, medications can cause a lack of appetite.

Here is a link to the ops other thread.

i could attempt to get a picture but im really trying to not bother him cause with having to give him the oral medication is stressing him out extremely so im trying to not go by his cage as much unless im giving him his medicine or checking to see if he has eaten at all =/

I was looking skimming through the other threads. I didnt see this filled out. https://www.chameleonforums.com/how-ask-help-66/

It is ultimately up to you but i dont think taking a quick snap shot of him will cause any serious stress. Try without flash.

They can go quite a distance without food. Judging by one of your threads, he had thrown up food on the 25th which is three days ago.

Also did your vet do a xray to rule out impaction?

no he did not he told me to get him a fecal sample first and to spray him with half gatorade and half water which should help with anything that's stuck but i will definately bring that up to him this was my first time having to bring my panther to the vet so i was kind of clueless as of what to do >.<
