Here is the back story, About 3 weeks ago I got a female ambilobe from LLL Reptile. When I got her home I noticed she had trouble aiming her toungue. Took about 3-4 tries to get her cricket. Later in the day I noticed she would close her right eye and keep it shut for a while. She would open it if she saw me looking at her. Also you can tell her eye is smaller than the other, And it would be open if she was walking around. Other than that she seems very healthy, strong and good appatite and good drinker. I started cup feeding her which helps her alot, she has to get right up on the feeders to get them. I searched here and found info on vitamin a deficiencies and other treatments. So for the past few weeks I have tried these things
1. Vitamin A drop on feeder for a couple days.
2. Repashy Calcium each feeding.
3. Outdoor sunlight.
4. Shower mistings.
So far no improvement, but also no decline either.
So now for the kicker,
My one and half year old male ambilobe now keeps his right eye shut for periods of time during the day.
And his eye is noticably smaller than the other.
They share the same outdoor basking cage but at different times. Otherwise nothing comes in contact between them.
My next step is going to be get a fecal done and an appt with Dr Greek here in California.
So does anyone have any idea what might be happening?
