Any experience with this light?

I don't think my mercury vapor bulb is good enough for my cham. I want to have more UVB exposure and a larger basking area. The fixture is 24" and the top of my cage is 32" I can center it over his basking branch just fine. Just my uneducated opinion but it seems pretty pricey for what you get.

I purchased a 48" hood from Amazon that houses one 48" bulb and 4 other incandescent or whatever screw in bulbs. ( I was using LED tip it got colder and I needed a bit more heat).

3 separate controllers as well.

But the hoods from Lightyourreptiles on here seem pretty stellar from the reviews if you are wanting additional fluorescent capacity. The one you linked didn't even appear to have the bulbs.

Once I get moved next week I am ordering one of the 48" ones from them so I can have more light penetration for plants. Currently I have ceiling spot halogens that give me lots of extra light my I am moving away from them on Thursday.

I saw that one but I just like the way the UVB bulbs are on either side of the UVA bulbs on the one I linked. The one you linked only has one UVB bulb so it would be difficult for my setup, but I could always put up more branches to increase area for my cham to sit.

The reviews for the bulbs of the light I posted suck. How well does the fixture that you linked heat on a point under it?

Currently I live in an apartment in Seattle and my ambient room temps are in the high 60's to low 70 on any given day. Before winter I was using a 73w incandescent (those ecofriendly 100w) and was getting basking temps in the mid 80's. My boys are still juveniles. I put an LED bulb in each of the other 2 sockets for my plants, minimal heat from it.

Last week I added an additional 40w bulb on either side as my temps were sliding a bit with the colder weather. At a basking spot of 8" from the light I get 85-90 with a infrared temp sensor depending on how warm the room is. I use a Reptisun 10.0 but I have a lot of foliage. I have my 2 enclosures side by side and I like that they heat bulbs are pretty centered in each enclosures. Its a sturdy ballast. I have had it for about 3 months with no problems at all. The other thing I did was to line the inside of it with aluminum foil as it was white and I thought that it was a waste to not reflect back that additional light or heat.
