Another new Cage almost done

Well i got a crazy urge to replace the 2 store bought cages with 1 dual cage and started building. Here are a couple pics of it. Dimensions are 30"high x 43"wide x 17"deep. A laminated divider slides down the middle and separates the cage. When all is done it will be Verithaned/Water proofed ans allowed to dried for a few weeks to removed all the harmful fumes from the stain/ verithane. Hope you all enjoy.

Dude, your fish is really freaking me out!

But seriously, great work on the cages, they are art.

Thanks. Lol that fish is the sweetest fish on the planet he's like a big 30lb dog that love to be petted. He is a Red bellied Pacu.

That is really cool...

I was about to put together a new reptibreeze for my Jackson, but after seeing your custom work I am demotivated.

Your Pacu is in desperate need of a new home.

Im not just saying this to be the fish police - Im saying this because you are in real danger of coming one home one day to broken aquarium, flooded house, dead pacu.

Ive seen it before - my cousins did it...but to a much larger aquarium with thicker glass. I would say his was 4" larger than yours however.

You can buy large poly tanks for cheap - that is my suggestion. Mine is a tad smaller, and has been in a poly tank for awhile now.

Cool fish - till they start eatin everything in the tank.

Sweet cage as well...I really want to build one.

Thanks for the compliments. Our Pacu just got his new home like 2 months ago he is in a 125gallon tank and it is 3/4" thick glass. he is a pretty chill fish doesn't freak out all he does is follow us back and forth in the tank.

At first I started to comment on the size of the tank and then I realized that we were seeing the side of it and not the front, as it looks like it extends back!!! Anyways, your fish is stealing all your threads thunder about your awesome cages!! lol. Maybe you need to give him his own thread?!:p.

The next time you build an enclosure like this could you do a thread for "dummies" like myself and do a step by step process? Lol would love to build something but never in my life have I built anything. I have the space and so many great ideas! Just not the skills to pull it off :(
