Another MistKing issue

I seem to be having a problem with my line going from the pump to my cages shaking violently and the pump is pretty loud. Anyone else ever have this issue? Thanks! I should add I just got the unit 2 days ago.

The hose will shake when pressured up. If you find it to be a problem, you can secure it with cable ties or tape. Is it the pump that is noisy or the hose rattling against something? My pumps are very quiet. Cheers!

I don't think its the pump. It's the hose running from the pump on the ground to the first cage. Shake like a son of a B and I just hear what sound like a loud grinding noise.

as for the shaking all u can do is secure it. I use the little clamps that come with it and they sell them at lowes or home depot if you dont have enough. The grinding noise you should probably call mistking about that

Where am I securing the lines to? the cage itself or the wall?

I have some of the foam pipe insulation - it has a slit up the middle, I just ran my line into that, secured it with a couple twist ties. It works nicely, then even if it shakes and hits the wall or th cage or whatever, it is cushioned and makes no noise. :)

That sounds like the easiest and best idea!! That way I'm not drilling holes in walls.

I have my lines taped to the sides of my cages, and they make no noise. The pump itself is completely silent, it shouldn't be making any noise.

haha ya me too..first time i turned mine on i was all "TAKE COVER, ENIMIES FLANKING OUR POSITION!!" lol..sounds like an h&k mp5 ..lol..then i secured my mistking with a few screws into a flat peice of board..then secured the line with tape, and zipties..now its silent..all i hear is the hiss of the the mist..:D

Sometimes the shaking is associated with air in the line. Try operating the pump and turning it on its side, on its end with the pump head down and then up... it works out the air. Do this without the nozzles connected. Once you have a nice steady stream of water out of the tubing you can then connect it to your nozzles and see if the issue is still there.

You can see in this photo I am using small 1/4" hose clips on the red tubing along the top right side. You can find these at Home Depot usually, but only in the white plastic.... but if you try a real hardware store they'll have them in black, made of nylon.
