Another Meller

Just picked up another. I figure it to be about a year and a half maybe 2 years old, judging by size comparisons with my others. It needs to put on a little weight but is eating well & drinking like mad! The thing got so excited when the mister came on... snapping and shooting at the water drops! Must have been pretty thirsty! I'll post some pics later after it settles in a bit. I think it's name is rinklestumpskin LOL Cheers!

Another one? I think you are at your max capacity, so you should send rumple right to me :p ;)

Can't wait to see pictures!

nice i see so many of these creatures being abused im now downsizing my panther and jackson collection to start saving more mellers:D

Thanks for the replies! I AM almost at max capacity! lol I gotta do a big clean & re-build/arrange of the cham room, I'll post some pics as I finish. All my chams are caged & just one per. For me it seems way easier to control food, water & light that way. Yea... they sure do get messed up by stores & dealers don't they? This one came from a really overcrowded situation and has some kinda skin issue goin' on. I think it may have started out as nail puncture wounds from them climbing all over each other and progressed from there.... maybe not though. It kinda looks like it's coming off with the shed. I took some pics of a few of the problem areas, anyone ever see anything like this? What do you think? I'm gonna let Rinkle settle in a bit before we make a vet trip unless it starts to get worse though. Cheers!

I have a few more pics but they're taking FOREVER to upload.... I'll try again in the morning

Jim I know nothing about his skin condition but I am happy he is with you. I am getting a baby c/bb mellers soon so get ready for my pm's:eek::D

Congrats! One can never have too many!! (as I tell myself with loads of babies.....:D)

I have seen that a couple times before. Both times I thought it was some sort of fungus (and can very well be if they are in a crowded "import" situation) but each time it ended up coming off with a couple sheddings. Just keep a good eye on it.

Look at that grumpy face! He is a doll!

Like Cham1 said I've seen this on a few rescues that came from non ideal situations. Hopefully it will disappear after a few sheds.

I have had 1 panther rescue completley infested with several different parasites that had something similar but it was nodules and they cleared up after we dissolved the parasite issues.

Just as you do with every new addition keep him away from yor other guys ;)
