Ankaramy

Hi,
i was in Madagascar from 22 March till 13 April...we do the Trip along the Northcape of Madagascar... we cross also both Ankaramy Villages...yes!
when you come from the South to the North you cross first "Ankaramyhely"
this is the small Village-Part of Ankaramy. Then you cross the Ankaramy River, and arrive in Ankaramybe... here we found the typical-colouration
...you can see it on the Picture.

I've never kept em, but they are my fav panther locale...so naturally I've done a bit of research on em.

Apparently they require more humidity than any of the other panthers, so either a densely planted cage, or more frequent mistings would be beneficial. Also from what I have read, they don't like as much heat as the other panthers.

Hopefully someone who keeps them will chime in, as I said I've never kept them.

I do want to add, however, that you should buy some SuperPig supplementation powder from T-Rex (Allen Repashy). You can get it here...

4oz in powdered form will go a LONG way (years). The color enhancers in there will make your Ankaramy a very deep and vibrant pink. The younger you start them on this, the better. You just need a small pinch of it per feeding to do the trick. Alternatively, you could use just this on your feeders once or twice a week instead.

This works for all colored reptiles in case anyone else reading this is interested in using it. I use just the Naturose for my dart frogs and it definitely makes a difference.
