Animal show purchase?

Honestly I was thinking of buying two chameleons from two seperate breeders. One online and one from a nearby animal show where I've seen the same breeder there for years.
Are show breeders generally not reputable? Like if I go to a reptile show I should just look and not touch?

I’m sure there are quality breeders that attend some reptile shows, but in most cases you’re probably not going to know much about the background of the chameleon if it’s just a guy with a table and some chameleons.
