I recently have had problems with my chameleon because he was angry for no reason. I just noticed that he gets angry while I'm misting his cage. Is it possible he is scared of the sprayer?

IMO and in my experience, chameleons hate being sprayed. Try to avoid hitting him with the spray. It also helps to heat the water before spraying. Being hit with a load of cold water is fun to no one!

Yes they usually don't like it much, but it's a necessary evil I'm afraid.

I agree that warm water is better and I also find that instead of spraying them directly I aim up over their head so the water lands on them like raindrops and they like it better.

He's not really "angry for no reason". He's reacting to something in his immediate environment that either causes fear or anxiety. Its more defensive than offensive. Now if he is facing another intruding cham, he might be more angry/territorial.
