I am pretty sure that Amy is receptive at the moment. I had thought she would be due to lay her second infertile clutch next weekend and put her laying box in a few days ago. Yesterday she caught sight of Tommy, and instead of her usual violent reaction (gaping, going dark and rocking) she just sat there and showed no reaction at all! Also, yesterday was the first day in a long time that she didn't go straight for her crix ar feeding time.
What I would like to know now is how long before she will lay this infertile clutch? I presume that she may stay receptive for a while - how long for? I realise that there are probably no hard and fast answers to this, I just want to be as ready for her laying as possible.
