Hi, could we see a pic of the cage?
I believe in three weeks he should be acclimated by now. We want to offer everything under the sun to get some feeding action to satisfy our own desire. I would personally suggest you to keep offering staple bugs and not worry about offering a variety of bugs right now. Crickets and roaches typically fit the bill as both are easily obtained. If this indeed a strike, you want to re-train him to eat what you know is good for him.
Things i would do.
1. make sure your husbandry/cage are spot on.
2. make sure he is hydrated.
3. have a fecal done on the next feces.
4. be patient.
Id also get in contact with who you bought this chameleon from and ask them what they were feeding and there care parameters. Id also ask if he was a picky eater.
my 11 month old ambilobe x nosy faly panther hasn't been eating hardly anything. Couple worms and crickets a week. Three poops in 3 weeks. Poop looked healthy including urates and his pads are squishy meaning I presume he's hydrated...the ambient temps are 72/74 degrees during the day and 70 at night. Basking is roughly 85/88 plent of bendable vines and fake foliage, 2x2x48 cage 5.0 UVB repti bulb and a repti breeze basking lamp in an exo terra lighting top with an extra basking lamp with a 60 watt fluorescent bulb.....he gets watered thoroughly 3 x a day and seems healthy but we all know how cams can be. He's active and doesn't appear weak. Is it possible he is just to hungry or could he be sick? I ordered more horned worms repti worms wax worms super worms and meal worms as treats that he'll get tomorrow, but does anyone have any idea as to y he isn't that hungry ? Am I doin something wrong here? Please help he's my baby!
