Hi
I am just wondering what is the average size a adult male would reach as I have looked up on the internet and amaingly there are not a lot of places that have that on the details I have only found a couple.

The 1st says 8-9 inches and the 2nd says 21-24 inches obviously quite a difference so would just like to know if someone could clear that up for me thankyou Michael

Well I would say the first est, is s/v lenght ( snout to vent ) and the second is the whole cham inc, tail. So they are both not bad. The best way to judge sizze IMO is by wieght. Most adult males will be around the 200g mark
There are some differences between locals as well.

I did wonder that but both just said estimated full size is between and those figures is their tail that long wow. Learning all the time I just keep looking at stuff on them and am so looking forward to be able to go and get one once I have researched enough.

My Ambilobe is a little over a year old and he is about 17-18 inches from the tip of his nose to the tip of his tail. It's hard to get a perfectly accurate measurement as he moves too much and they don't often keep their tails perfectly straight. He is a pretty average sized Ambilobe.

Panthers and veileds are both very close in size, and from what I have read, veileds tend to be slightly bigger. So from nose to tail tip, I would expect around 20" for an adult male. Veileds can reach as long as 24", but it's unlikely.

Thankyou as long as i know roughly how big to expect him to get you know you read so much stuff and some of it is not explained properly its nice to have somewhere dedicated to just chams

Thankyou again

Look at the sire to have any idea, I've had a adult male ambilobe that weight 124 grams and had panthers well over 200 grams so it's pretty hard to no from looking at the baby

No prob, that's what we all are here for :)

I would like to see the sire if possible to have an idea of what he will look like when he is fully grown but it was really to give me an idea of a rough size really.

I have seen so many beautiful chams on here and other site that sell and to be honest i dont think I have seen a bad ambilobe they are all beautifully coloured
Thankyou
