Seems it gets into the 90s around Nov.

Some charts use avg. temps, which can be lower than those that break it down into avg. highs & avg. lows, but it gives a greater range than some of the care sheets.

Either these guys have little heaters & ac units hidden away in hollow trees, or they're a little tougher than we give them credit for―IDK.

It's recommended that the re be a visual barrier between the cage so that the chameleons can't see each other.

For basking...chameleons seek light not heat to warm up...ceramic heat emitters are meant to be used at night when the temperatures fall down below 60F.

Question say I have a 40 watt heat bulb on a thermostat that is set to 82 an when it reaches 82 the light goes off till it cools down then goes back on is this ok ? Cause without my thermostat the basking spot would reach 93 …

I can't really give you an answer on that. I don't know what it would do to the chameleon if the light kept coming off and on.

It let my heat lights only run till 10:00am. An alternative would be, I’m using them as well, the Arcadia Deep heat projector, then you don’t have any visual light and only heat. That should work with the thermostat.

I personally do not like on off thermostats. I prefer the dimming thermostats. These dim down and dim back up based on temp set. They are not as abrupt as an on off. I have used the herpstat version for the last like 3 years and have been very happy with it.

Yeah... I know I still do not like them vs dimming thermostats lol. The constant on/off is annoying as hell if you are sitting in the room with it.
