Ambanja vs. Nosy Be

So, my boy was sold to me as an ambanja BUT he looks exactly like the nosey be males kammerflauge creations has for sale. Does he look amb or nosy to you?

When i kept pardalis, i only kept pure Nosey be's & he doesn't look like those that i had. So yes quite possible he is Ambanja.

At that age it can be difficult to say, they all kind of look the same until they really develop their colors. My bet is that he is an Ambanja like you were told when you got him. The only way to know for sure is to wait a couple of months and see how his colors develop.

Yea, too soon to say anything for sure. Ambanjas can have a ton of blue as well, so just because he is mostly blue right now doesn't mean anything for certain. Just wait a few more months, see how he turns out

Def way to young to tell. Did you buy him from a reputable breeder and were able to get any info on his parents.

I got him from a reptile store in long island called repxotica. They are very good, and are very reputable. He is a f1, apparently the mother was WC already with eggs, but didn't lay until she was in the U.S. So no info on the parents. They just had so many reptiles there, and they had nosy be and ambanja chams and I thought it was possible they mixed up labels. But, from what I've seen, nosy be's tend not to have so many bars? his will completely disappear when he's sleeping or resting but when he's active (not fired up) he's got some black that I'm hoping will turn purple or red.
