Am I Feeding Enough?

Hi Folks,

I know this question gets asked all the time, but I'm concerned about his eating habits. I generally feed Tesla (3 month old male veiled) 10 to 15 crickets per day. They're somewhere between 1/4" to 1/2" in size. He also gets what I call a '2 bite' superworm or silkworm every other day to every 3rd day. He sometimes does not eat everything at once (especially when a silkworm is in the feeder), but always eats it all by the end of the day. The reason I'm concerned is that I will sometimes observe him sticking his head into his feeder and looking around expectantly, like he's still hungry. Should I feed him more, or is he just being greedy?

He honestly looks ok to me, a little thin but ok. the base of the tail is usually a taddle-tail sign of malnutrition. his tail is full so he is eating enough to store some meat.

He looks big for 3 months.

good job with him..

He does look big for 3 months, but that zip-tie is deceiving. It's actually one of the very-small ones and the vine he's on is only about 1/4" across. Last time I took stats on him he was about 13 grams and 3 inches from nose to vent.

I've noticed the ame thing and was going to start a thread but thought I'd have a browse on here first :) My male ( I think, both mine look female) came sprinting over to me when I fed him this morning SO fast I thought he was going to end up not only on the floor but on the other side of the room! Anyone would think he never gets fed!? I was going to ask you guys the same question because in my looking about on the net I've seen a fair few people suggesting that young chams should be fed all they'll eat. After the desperate rush fr the food bowl this morning I had wondered whether a second feed in the evening was appropriate, safe or needed..... ?

I always fed Wiz as much as he would eat in a sitting, sometimes as many as 15-20 small crickets a day. Now though, only at 5 months old, he has slowed down. He is still healthy but I wish sometimes he had the appetite of a young chameleon.
