Am I Doing This Wrong????

Hi, I am relatively new to this forum, but have read that chameleons should be housed in screen cages only!!!! I have a 5 week old male Veiled, and although I do have a 48 inch high cage, I was told that I should, since I have a smaller Exo-Terra glass enclosure, let him reach about 4 - 5 months old before i put him in the larger cage!!!
Any input would be greatly appreciated!!!!

you can put him directly into the screen cage.

glass cages are good for certain species, or in certain climates if it is super dry where you live.

but for most circumstances, we only use screen cages

Yeah right in the screen cage. Even babies do very well in large screen cages
