In hawaii they have sky lights. Skylights are cooler than house roof. Geckos hang out on said skylights. And they poops. And guess how hard it is to clean dried in the sun gecko poops. Then you end up with crazy wives in the house screaming at the ceiling "stop pooping" and you just go about your business...
