All owners of chams with no tongues

Re: teaching them to drink....they will be able to use a dripper without much trouble but won't be able to pick it off the leaves, etc so it shouldn't be a problem.

The reason for me saying to crop the tongue really close to the end of the spike is that if there's a little bit/flap of it left it makes them feel uncomfortable and they keep acting like something is stuck to the tongue and they need to get rid of it...at least from what I've seen.

good to know on the cropping part.

and I guess I'll have to go get a dripper. I currently only use the mist king, but ill grab a dripper so he can drink the drips too.

Make a dripper from a deli cup with a tiny hole in the bottom that drips at the rate of one or two drips per second.

Don't forget ...he will have no tongue to lick it up and the hyoid spike is very narrow even if he can stick it out that far.

Thanks everyone.

We are off to the vet this morning.

Since he decided he couldn't wait, the tongue is coming off today.

Fingers crossed.
