All My Cham Needs to get started?

I know I would need plants to. Just wondering if thats all my cham really needs. Would eventually upgrade to an automatic mister as well

Sorry for the confusion. I have talked to the owner of the company and they agreed to sell the package without the cage and just take the $$$ the cage would have cost out of the price

So far 50$ total except for the stuff I don't know, and that doesn't include shipping (won't you be paying about 100$?). I would look at that list and just get everything from LLL instead, so you can get the perfect vines, digital thermometer/hygrometer (walmart sells a nice one for about 15$), etc.

For supplements...IMHO...you need a phosphorous-free calcium powder which will be dusted on the insects at most feedings and a vitamin powder that contains a beta carotene source of vitamin A to dust on the insects twice a month and a phos.-free calcium/D3 powder to be dusted on the insects twice a month. In some cases people also give a little bit of preformed vitamin A once in a while...but it builds up in the system...so its easy to overdose it. (For veileds, I don't).

You also need to gutload/feed your insects a nutritious diet.

Here are some good sites for you to read...there is lots to learn if this is your first chameleon....

I'll throw in my disagreement in regard to the supplements..

Minerall-O is essential for indoor use in chameleons, and would be my primary supplement, as the O means it is a D3 free calcium.

Personally I like the Zoomed Reptivite as it includes preformed vitamin A vs. Beta Carotene which has shown questionable results in chameleons..

I dust most feedings with the Minerall-O, or another D3 free calcium.
Once a month with the Reptivite, and twice a month with a D3 inclusive calcium.

Feeders do get a gutload with beta carotene for what its worth, though I don't think it does much.

i have read up and really know all about the gutloading and calcium with chams. Just never did see a checklist of things needed and wanted to know from cham owners if they think this covers all basis

syn- prices on lllreptile were a little higher i think. Its well over the price of this after the shipping is added in. Thinking of going with this package but not sure yet
