albino panther female

Hi there I have a 1 1/2 year old female albino panther I have had her for one year and this is her first clutch (not fertilized) not sure if I want to breed her it big responsibility ......I am worried about her its been 3 days she had layed the first eggs on the floor of her cage but now she digging in her sand bucket she has been in there for a couple of hours this morning and now she has been head first in her hole just laying there I don't know how long I should leave her alone because its been 3 days already of her going the top of her trees and eating and bathing and misting to going backdown to the bottom and digging and just chilling headfirst i have tried to research this. i am confused because of all the information i know i should just leave her and I am but I cant help it just to check on her

(.because they dont like to be disturbed)she has laid 14 eggs so far i am not to sure when she will finish if anyone knows anything thst mightnhelp it would very appreciated xo

I posted some pictures in a album on my profile I couldn't figure how to post in this reply ... I went out for couple hrs and she laid one more egg in her new hole and was back up top sunning herself she seems to be ok I've just never experienced this before

What makes you think she is albino? She looks pretty typical of a female to me. I have yet to hear of an albino chameleon.

From the pics you have on your album. She looks like a normal female panther to me.
Maybe bad pics??????

Are you thinking she is albino because she is pink? Nearly all panther females are a little pink. Panther are sexually dimorphic like birds. Males have all the color and the females are pinkish / brown for the most part. There are several that show some really nice color especially when in receptive phase.

Did you mean ambilobe panther? Ambilobe doesn't mean albino just so you know

Hmmm it was what I was told when I got her my bad for not looking into it more we dont have a lot pet stores that carry chameleons so I have not seen to many and im a bit of a novice at the forums and how they work :/

Don't feel bad. The albino chameleon is the holy grail. There was a big discussion in the last book I read. Could they exist? Do they exist? The conclusion was probably not, and if they did not very long lived. You would have probably paid upwards of $5000-10,000 for it, if you had one. Even then who originally had her probably would have never sold it. Breeding it themselves. It would probably sell at a Tiffanys auction. Keep your hopes up, ball pythons used to be just ball pythons. Now there are tons of expensive morphs. Even translucent veils. I would hate to say NEVER. There are now even multiple albino crocs and alligators in captivity and the wild. So my fingers are crossed.

Great question. I would think it could lighten and darken only. Wouldn't be awesome for it to have albino resting colors, but flare up with colors. I so want one. Get to work lab techs!

quick little add-on

Try not to be so hard on this guy. When we all started out with our first reptiles, most of us went home thinking everything the sales person said was gospel. This guy just had his bubble bursted on a major detail. It wasn't the wrong info over temperatures or substrate, it was the actual description of his pet. I kinda feel bad for the guy. Everyone who was told they bought a Blue Bar Ambilobe and found out it was an Ambanja x Faly cross, or similar example, knows what I am talking about. You'll should throw some more support towards the guy. Everyone here was a reptile rookie at one point.

Man I got pretty excited when I saw this thread. Albinos are definately a possiblity in chameleons but nobody's been able to produce one YET as far
As I know..as far as panthers go an albino would be cool but it would be exactly the opposite of what panthers are known and loved for. Their beautiful color
