Oh man-that guy is a mess. He is the weirdest looking chameleon I have ever seen. His head and casque are completely strange, and he is small and thin, and scared of his own shadow. I will post pics later. He could win ugliest cham too easily!

If anybody is interested... The LAST babies from this guy are going to be available. They're almost 3 months, but I haven't put an ad up yet. I have two males left, and one 2 year old I got back form someone who ignored me and gave it slight mbd - he's small, but the color is certainly top notch. I had him at the Reptile and amphibian Day in Raleigh, and he kept his bright colors all day, even when holding him in front of a big crowd. I'll try to get pics.
So, if anybody got a female that needs a mate - you already got the "massive" genes, how bout some color??? The father was 17" long, and some of his young were 19".

Our Botero is 17.5" long. Not exactly a record, but a nice sized cham. But, he's not from Juli so he doesn't count.

But when people say the chams length is it Nose to vent? Nose to tip of tail whe tail is stretched?

In this thread most of the lengths discussed have been nose to tail tip. At least, I am assuming no one has a 19" veiled SVL. If you do, I want him. Name your price!

Juli, he is indeed absolutely stunning, at rest and when agitated. We just got him on the 16th with the female veiled, Phyllis, who went through surgery Wednesday. See our post in health forum about Phyllis.
We are very excited about Botero. He is huge and fierce. We took him out to measure him last night (thinking it would be safer when he is sleepy) and he really hurt my husband with a bite to the finger. Somehow we manages to get his tail unfurled for the ruler. He hates humans so we just know he will be a great breeder. I would love to have a HUGE female for him. We lost our oversized female last year.

My apologies, SoCaliSon, but I do believe we have hijacked your AJ thread. Sorry! Ah, but now I realize it was an old thread anyway. SO, no big deal.
As we can see by the original post to this thread, SoCaliSon has a great looking big guy, too. Juli likes the speckles on our Botero, but I see that SoCaliSon's Lombardi has beautiful blue and speckles, as well. I see a strong resemblance between Lombardi and our Botero. That leads me to believe that a female from Juli's AJ would would be the perfect mate for our Botero. Or a girl from Eric's huge guy.
Who has more update photos of Juli's AJ offspring? let's see them. I remember when she was trying to keep these guys fed! I was afraid she was going to have to declare bankruptcy!

How many of us members have a baby from Juli's recent clutch of awesome Veileds! I couldn't be happier with my guy Lombardi...So lets keep all these bros and sis' united on this thread!!! It will be cool to see over the time how all the related chams develop...

Thanks Sandy for the compliments on Lombardi. Botero does has a very impressive coloration. I was just thinking it was time to do an update on Lombardi. I will have to find the camera again and do one. I just measured him... and he is almost 9 inches Snout to Vent. He is a big guy and still growing at about 8 months I believe. He is also a great little personality to have around the place, so much fun to watch him watch us.
Edit: Also I am never really offended when one of my threads goes on a little tangent. Just the fun layed back mood of the site doing its thing, I love it.

Hey Sandy-I happen to have a beautiful sister to AJ-these guys are rapidly approaching 9 months old-that needs a gorgeous boyfriend like Botero!
I was hanging onto her for a project, but am finding myself out of space with my current projects-are you interested in a joint venture?
