Here's Dante. First picture is like 3 days after I got him and the last is a from about a week or two ago. My friend took some with his DSLR the other day but he's really bad about getting pictures to me.

Great looking animals...I have thought about getting a veiled one day but I am stuck on panthers...it is my curse haha!

You are all going to need unrelated mates for them.
May I suggest Kitty babies?
They are still eggs at this point, but soon ..... very soon;)
Juli, you will probably need one too.

Update time!! Let's see how much they've grown in about a month. Here's Dante as of last week getting all pissed of at the camera:D

Ya maybe a little. There's no way he could be dehydrated tho, he has a mist-king set-up, a dripper set-up and a humidifier all on timers. All of his urates are perfectly white too:D

No-he isn't dehydrated-I just notice that his brothers here do the same thing when they see the camera coming!

Okay thats what I thought you meant... Ya he pulls his eyes in too when he sleeps. The pic doesn't really show it because of the angle but he was standing almost vertical swaying back and forth. Definitely the most I've seen him fired up yet. I can't believe he has this much color for being ~7 months old.

Ok, apparently my little Morpheus belongs in this thread as well. :D

Here's the only pic I have so far, right out of the shipping box:

I'll try to get a few more pictures once he's returned to his, now moved to a better spot, main cage tomorrow morning. :)

If anybody is interested... The LAST babies from this guy are going to be available. They're almost 3 months, but I haven't put an ad up yet. I have two males left, and one 2 year old I got back form someone who ignored me and gave it slight mbd - he's small, but the color is certainly top notch. I had him at the Reptile and amphibian Day in Raleigh, and he kept his bright colors all day, even when holding him in front of a big crowd. I'll try to get pics.

So, if anybody got a female that needs a mate - you already got the "massive" genes, how bout some color??? The father was 17" long, and some of his young were 19".

From the time I got Veileds and looked forward to breeding them, I always thought Eric's Veileds were stunning and then thought they would be a good mix with my line. I would love to see someone start a project with these 2 lines! :)

Ok - here's the rules of the contest! I'm holding back a male and female from the above picture. Whoever can come up with the BIGGEST male veiled wins. I will send the female to you (or meet up or something), to mate with the giant male, and you send her back after she's done with him. I incubate the eggs, we split the babies equally!

I got a nice, big, orange and mean-as-hell FL wild caught. He's over 18" (Pretty sure he's between 19 and 21"), but I cannot get a good measurement, as he hates measuring devices almost as much as he hates me. He really really hates me. He's ugly as hell during the day in his reptarium, but his natural colors are nearly as nice as my old male (above). I think when I move him to a screen cage, up higher, it'll help. I had to do the reptarium, as he was all over the screen at first, and the metal was tearing his (already damaged) nails apart.

So he's getting crossed with the old man's offspring as soon as she comes back into season (recovering form a conjunctivitus issue). I would LOVE to work out a cooperative breeding project with someone with a PRIME bloodline.

Size varies tremendously in the clutches - I have had some males reach 12" in TOTAL length, and some reach 19" - in one clutch. The interesting thing is that the coloration seems to be very solid - very little variation in a given clutch, save a few with incomplete yellow bars, like the male in the pic above. I'd say, all but one or two of his hundreds of offspring have had solid yelow bars on both sides.

It's hard to get really good breeders, as you dont' know for sure until they're adults. IF we work together, as a commnity, it would be much much easier - and faster - to get the desired results.
