Aging Carpet Chameleon question

I have a female carpet who turned 2 in December, Zelda. She has had several infertile clutches over the 2 yrs. (Approx 5 clutches total)
Well, she is now not coming out as early as she used to, hides more throughout the day and sometimes sleeps on her uvb stick instead of hiding at night. Her actions have been weird and colors have been pale green to dark brown almost black more often than not. Her casque is sinking in a little bit too. She is still eating though I see her getting closer and closer to the feeding dish, even getting on my hand to eat (bless her little heart it took me 2 yrs for full trust). But just curious since she is now over 2, does this sound like normal aging issues or should I stress her out for a trip to the vet?
Thank for any advice, I know not too many of us have had carpets in the past despite them being the cutest thing on earth.

Aww…little sweetie. She looks a tad thin to me, but I guess that’s what you mean about her casque. I haven’t had the joy of having a carpet chameleon, so afraid I can’t help you with their specifics. I’m not even sure what age is considered old for them. Has her uvb been changed lately? Are you using Arcadia or ReptiSun? Besides these crazy arctic blasts we’ve all been getting, any changes to ambient temps or humidity?

My brother used to keep carpet chams years ago. From what I understand, for how tiny they are, they mature incredibly quickly and are usually an adult by 6-7 months. Due to aging so rapidly they, sadly, usually have a shorter life span. The oldest female my brother had was 4 years old. ... I hope this is just a funk your little love is going through.
