Hi,

I have 6 neonate jackson's and today I found one of them dead on the bottom of the cage. The skin of the dead baby was pale white and I haven't noticed any issues with him while he was alive. I have a uv lamp from petco and I mist the cage several times am/pm and I'm feeding them pinhead cricks with a hole in the contaner that the neo's use to catch them with. Maybe I'm over feeding them because I leave the pinheads with the neo's most of the day. The babies were born on august 25th so they are not even a month old yet, any advice or help is appreciated thx! Let me know if pics of them would be helpful please.

You can't over feed neonates as long as the food items are not all over the babies. Keep a piece of orange or banner in with the babies so the ff.'s go to the fruit and don't bother the babies. As sad as it sounds some of the babies are just not strong enough to make it. if you see one not eating as well you could put that one by it's self so it can get food.

Is your uvb a coil or a tube style? You need the tube style, the spiral or coil may be harmful to the babies. The key is to keep the babies in high humidity & lower temps. What % humidity and what temps do you try to keep the babies at? If you are away for a while and can't mist them for a few hours put a very damp paper towel in the bottom of the cage.

Good luck & let me know how it goes.
