Hi all

My veiled cham only eats hoppers and wax worms, hes terrifies of fast moving bugs i.e. crickets etc....

He seems healthy but hes my first cham so I dont know whats an acecptable growth rate...

When he was little he would eat up 15 small crickets a day..

Now days im lucky if he'l eat 2 hoppers, is that normal?

Welcome to the forums. They do eat less as they get older. How old is your guy? Pictures would be helpful to see if he looks healthy. At around 8 months I start feeding every other day for males if they are big healthy boys. As adults I feed three times a week.

Should be eating more than that.

Have you tried putting crickets in a tub/bag and putting them in the fridge for several minutes, that'll slow them down so he might eat them.

He is 13 months old, he seems healthy to me, In comprasion of colouring etc I think he seems in good condition, I meassured him yesterday from snout to vent hes 8" and total length hes 16", I dont have means to weigh him, where could I get appropriate scales?

Maybe Il feed him every other day, like yourself.
