I just got home from the vet and my chameleon had two abscesses, the vet gave me antibiotics for me to give to her every three days and the vet wants me to check in 21 to 28 days from now do you think antibiotics will work?

Can you post a photo please?
If they weren't cleaned out and a culture and sensitivity test done so that the chameleon could be put on the appropriate antibiotic, then they will not likely go away. Chameleon pus is like cottage cheese in texture and the antibiotics can't penetrate it.

I have a veiled chameleon and it has the abscesses on its right eye and one it's side above its front arm, the abscess on its side is not cottage cheese like its texture either
