Abnormal stool

Hello, I have a juvenile female chameleon, eats very well and drinks well, noticed a strange stool, I have had a chameleon with gout in the past and don't want a repeat. Should I be concerned about this?

Hi there,

Nothing too concerning, but the golden yellow indicates you need to up your hydration.

This "poop" is actually urate, or "pee".

Looking at your Cham poop is a good way of indicating how hydrated your little one is. There's a good post on it here: https://www.chameleonforums.com/threads/chameleon-poop-101.120171/

I’ve had a female veiled and a male veiled and both were terrible with drinking. I hydrated via bugs mostly. Silkworms are great and hornworms are good too but silks are my preferred method for upping hydration. They’re like little bags of water
