I had that same thought at one time. There is another member on here that has one more brightly colored. Mine is from the same shipment,same clutch so I contacted the breeder himself for confirmation & he did confirm it to be male & also said that there is a wide variety of color variations in the species so just because you order one, it doesn't mean you are going to get a spectacular specimen. The good news is that even a not so brightly colored male can produce brighter color variations in his offspring. The other side of the coin is that a brightly colored male can produce less brightly colored offspring as what happened in my case. Either way, nice & unique chams. I've been waiting to see if Jared can bring in another shipment & get another female for him. I lost one over the winter.
