a noob in need

Howdy Efrain,

Welcome to a soon to be fellow SoCal chameleon keeper :)! You couldn't have timed things better with the January Pomona show just around the corner and the South Bay Chameleon Keepers group meeting soon to be scheduled, as usual, for Tuesday night, December 27th at the normal West LA meeting place. I'll make an early announcement now that I'll be doing a dry-run of my "Chameleon Basics" PowerPoint presentation (currently 48 slides) that is tentatively scheduled to be presented (by yours truly :)) on both Saturday and Sunday at the January Pomona Reptile Super Show. As an extra special enticement to sit through my entire presentation, the SBCK will be giving away a new 2x2x4 aluminum screen enclosure, plants, lights etc. after each lecture! More details to be posted separately within the next week. The SBCK invitation should go out, on schedule, this weekend. Stay tuned!

P.S. Don't be in too big of a rush to get more than one chameleon at the show. You'll always be able to put together a deal with one of the local SBCK members who breeds chameleons after you get your first one settled in and stable .

Howdy Ryan,

Me neither :).

The SBCK meeting will be a chance for me to get feedback for a final tuning before the show. I know I'm forgetting a bunch of important things for the beginner but I'm sure that you and the rest of the SBCK members can help me get it polished for January .

That's too bad
We could use some expertise out here in NE. The US fish and Wildlife just recently legalized the sale of old world Chams in Maine. Some keepers such as myself have had their chams before they were legalized this year ;) (did I say that?) So there isn't a lot of information around except on the internet.

Howdy All,

Well, at least I got the Tuesday part of the post right . The upcoming meeting announcement will correctly list Tuesday as the 29th :). I'll post the usual invitation sometime this Saturday and it will show Tuesday, December 29th at 7:30pm.

The meetings are free. They have one every month. I got to attend one back in the summer when we were out west on vacation.
