A/C + swamp cooler

So I'm working on setting up my Chameleon room

Now the ac will cool this but since ac takes humidity out of the air I was thinking about using a portable swamp cooler to boost the humidity, spot cool my jacksons and drop the temp of this room 5-10 degrees (compared to the rest of the trailer)

What I'm thinking is setting the AC about 80 then setting the portable swamp cooler so the vent is near the jacksons cage (so his cool part is high 60s or very low 70s) and hoping to drop the rest of the room (where my panther will be) in the mid 70s.

So has anyone used a swamp cooler combind with a ac?

I tried something similiar when I was working out in Palm Springs. It would be hard to put in words how bad it failed. Swamp Coolers aka Evaprotive Coolers work by evaprotion. So how they work is to bring in outside air in through the cooler than exahuast it out of the house. If you try to leave your window closed for the AC and then use the portable swamp cooler, you'll make the room so humid that it will overwhelm the AC unit and end up making the whole house hotter. When I tried this I had a weak AC unit and it took hours to cool the house back down. I understand why you would want the air in the low 70s but I don't think the Panther needs it that cool.
