4 Month check up.

So I have had my chameleon Quinn for almost 4 months now and just wanted to make sure he’s okay.
Chameleon Info:

• Your Chameleon - Panther chameleon, Male, Dont really know we think 6 months. He has been in my care for 4 months.
• Handling - I will normally hold him for 10 minutes and let him sun bath on his tree.
• Feeding - Crickets and super worms every once in a while. It matters on the size if there mediums i feed 4 and if there small i feed 6. Like 4 times a week. Kale.
• Supplements - I just use the stuff my breeder uses and it’s good stuff he has 5 chams.
• Watering - Just a water bottle and a water dropper?m. 2 times a day for 30 seconds. Yes I do it’s so cute!
• Fecal Description - They are white and brown. No I don’t think so.
• History -No.

Cage Info:

• Cage Type - Screen 4-2-2.
• Lighting - I don’t know what there called but my breeder gave me the link for them. Turn on at 8:00 turn off at 8:00.
• Temperature - 70at the top 75 at the basking spot and 65 at the bottom. 65 at the top and 60 at the bottom. Temp gun and thermometer?
• Humidity - 40 right when i mist and 35 when it’s just in the day. Just a water bottle. The thing that comes with the Thermometer.
• Plants - Yes I am , Golden Pothos and Money tree and one more.
• Placement - In the corner by the window. No, No, No. It is 5 feet.
• Location - I think this is asking where I live i live in the SLC area.

Current Problem - Nothing yet just a check up.

Hi. So everything looks ok, but there are some improvements you could make.
Adding more variety to his diet is always a good thing. As well, you could improve on feeding your bugs. Feeder and gutload sheets attached.
I have questions about supplements. What exactly are you using and how often? In some cases, while what the breeders may use works perfectly for them, if you don’t replicate the exact same care as them, you won’t have the same results.
You could increase your misting to 2 minute sessions. Consider yourself lucky! All of my chams are secretive drinkers.
It’s important to know exactly what lighting you are providing. I do see a linear light...is it a T5 or T8? What strength is the uvb bulb? What brand is the bulb? ReptiSun needs to be replaced every 6 months, while Arcadia is good for a year.
75 is a bit cool, especially for a panther. You’ll want to increase your basking temps to around 80-85.
Humidity is a bit low for a panther. You want it to be between 50-70% during the day. You could wrap something around the sides of your enclosure to help keep humidity in. A shower curtain would work or you could get insulating plastic wrap. Adding more live plants will also help with this. Try maybe a large centerpiece plant like an umbrella plant. While it’s awesome that your breeder has been so very helpful in guiding you, I’m a cheerleader for learning all you can about why things are done a certain way. This gives one more freedom in making changes that better suit your personal conditions and for continuing to keep chameleons in the future when perhaps you don’t have as awesome or helpful of a breeder available. Also, and this is VERY important! You must post more pics of your little cutie! This is mandatory (under a rule that I just made up) in order to satisfy the needs of me to see more chameleon pics.

Honestly, I’m not quite sure about using the Repashy calcium with LoD with every feeding. When I first joined the forum, that’s what was suggested. For whatever reasons, that way fell out of favor. I believe it should be ok for use with every feeding. If I’m wrong, I’m sure someone will correct me.
