Hello there,
So I have 36 1.5 month old veiled chameleons. They are all eating great and seem to be thriving. Yesterday I noticed 2 or 3 of the babies are making a clicking sound when they breathe. Only can hear it every now and then. My exotic vet is out of the office until next week. What can I do in the meantime to help these little guys out?
They are in a screen cage, a UVB bulb and a basking bulb. Lights are on 12 hours a day. The temps are 75 average in the cool area and 85-88 in the warm area. They have a misting system that sprays them for 6 seconds every hour for 8 hours out of the day.
I feed them everyday, they get d3 calcium 2 times per month and calcium without d 3 to 4 times per week.
Humidity says it says between 40-60 percent depending on the time of day and the misting system. I keep paper towels on the bottom and change it every other day. The cages stay clean.
What am I doing wrong that would cause a respiratory infection? Any and all help is appreciated.
