I don't know anything about that sand, but I would lean toward saying no. I would just use simple playground sand, or even sand designed for use in aquariums. You can get either inexpensively.

The bamboo and the branch will do great, just make sure you clean them well. I recommend baking them if possible, of course those are too big to fit in the oven, so you will need a different method.

That free range looks GREAT. The only thing I would be worried about is the dome light on top of the cage. It looks like he can get to it pretty easy. I would try to find some way of covering it or making it so he cant get to it. I could burn him severely if he got to it.

ok thank you! i really enjoy getting feedback. and i made it so he can get to the free roam on his own. now i need to find another way to the branches i washed them with water pretty good. but they have green spots on them and was wondering if that can affect some stuff?

The kinetic sand has a plastic compound in it to give it that permanently wet feel. I don't have a female of any species, but I wouldn't recommend using it for a laying box. My only 2¢.

For laying bin, i use a mix of 3/4 organic soil and 1/4 playsand. Both from home depot. I have used bamboo for years, with no ill effects. It can be slippery after misting. I try to scuff mine a little with some rough sandpaper. Gives their claws a little more grip.
